Aboard the USS Hornet aircraft carrier for Deep Tech Demo Night

@sebaschapela

Can’t believe we actually had a party in an aircraft carrier 👾

And the coolest #sftechweek venue award goes to… @sebaschapela

Had a great time onboard the USS Hornet last night watching pitches by deep tech startups.

If you missed this one, there are still 1031 events left to attend this week. (they may not be on an aircraft carrier, though.)

aircraft carrier demo day on the USS Hornet, congratulations on the amazing event @sebaschapela

Demo Day on an aircraft carrier? @sebaschapela and team have been cooking 🧑‍🍳

Hosting 200 investors and 200 founders on this Aircraft Carrier, on October 6th.

I need volunteers. Who is down to help?

Less than 14 days till SF Tech Week... and I'm loosing my mind.

I realized I'm probably not the only one. So decided to fix it.

I'm hosting a gathering of Event Hosts & Sponsors with
@lilyyang169 on October 2nd, so we can all help each other not go insane.

Startup trenches anthem.

The later at night, the harder it hits.

Things are getting crazy...

I was hosting on an Aircraft Carrier:

- 5-7pm: Deep tech demo night
- 7-10pm: Contextful after party

That was not ambitious enough...

So now our team is hosting an invite only AI Summit on Oct 5 - 6 leading up to the Aircraft Carrier 🤯

We are officially at 300 RSVPS for our Demo Night at @Techweek_ by @a16z

Therefore we rented the bottom deck for an after party for an additional 200 founders - where we will be revealing what my stealth startup I have been up to 🤫

Got over 200 pending RSVPs... might need to expand our capacity... 😅

New late night grind spot unlocked 🗝️

Waking up to these views makes all the sleepless nights worth it

Moving all our furniture today. Any SF friends that want to lend an extra hand lmk ☺️🙏🏻

First day living in the new SF crib.

Surreal to call Presidio my new backyard.

A new era has begun 🐦‍🔥

⏳ Just 7 days... left to apply to pitch 200 investors on this Aircraft Carrier.

This is only for seed - series A founders solving hard problems in space, defense, robotics or deep tech.

If that sounds like you, or someone you know...

I surrendered control, it gave me an Aircraft Carrier 🚢🛩️

It all started two months ago I walked past the USS Hornet. Turns out you can rent it!

On the other side of the country, Dave my co-host, had just walked by another aircraft carrier in New York and had the same thought.

- By chance, I flew in to NYC to see friends.
- By chance, Dave was flying in to NYC the next day.
- By chance, my friend saw my post and connected both of us.

The next morning we were all scheming how to make the most epic event of all @Techweek_ by @a16z 🔥
