Unroll · Read · Copy as Markdown

Twitter thread reader, one calm page.

Paste the link to the first post of a thread. PeekX unrolls the author's follow-up posts into one continuous read, and lets you copy the whole thread as text or Markdown.

How to unroll a Twitter thread

Copy the link to the thread's first post and paste it into the box above. On the post page, press Show replies: PeekX finds the posts where the author kept replying to themselves and shows them in order as one thread, directly under the first post. Use Copy thread as text or Copy as Markdown to take the whole thread with you — into notes, a doc, a newsletter draft or a research file. No account, no bot to mention and nothing to install.

How to

3 quick steps

  1. Copy the first post's link

Open the thread on X and copy the link of the opening post (Share → Copy link).

  2. Paste it and load replies

The post opens on PeekX. Press Show replies and the author's follow-ups appear as one thread.

  3. Read or copy

Read top to bottom, or copy the whole thread as plain text or Markdown with one click.

What is a thread reader?

A thread is a series of posts where the author replies to their own post again and again to tell a longer story — a research summary, a how-to, a news timeline or a personal essay. On x.com, threads are split into separate posts, mixed with other people's replies, and mostly hidden behind the login wall. A thread reader “unrolls” them: it puts the author's posts in order on a single page so you can read them like an article.

Many unroll services work by mentioning a bot under the thread, which needs an X account and leaves a public trace. PeekX works from the link alone: nothing is posted, nobody is notified, and you don't need an account.

How PeekX detects the thread

When you load replies on a post, PeekX looks for replies that belong to the same conversation and were written by the same author. Those are joined into the thread, in order, with their photos, videos and links intact. Replies from other people stay in the normal reply list below, so the thread itself stays clean.

Copy a thread as text or Markdown

  • Plain text — the posts one after another, ideal for pasting into messages, emails or translation tools.
  • Markdown — keeps links and media URLs, with a link back to each original post. Paste it into Notion, Obsidian, GitHub, a blog editor or any notes app and it keeps its structure.

Want a single post as a shareable picture instead? Every post page also has a Save as image option that renders a clean card you can share anywhere.

Tips for better results

  • Start from the first post of the thread; starting halfway through shows only what follows.
  • If the author paused and continued the thread much later, some posts may arrive in a later page — press More replies.
  • Media in the thread can be downloaded like any other post: open the post and use its download panel.

Threads from protected accounts can't be read on PeekX, and posts the author deleted won't appear. Always credit the author when you quote or republish their thread.
