It was a day packed with announcements, important discussions, and recognition of some of our nation’s greatest scientific and technological minds. NASA signed an agreement with @ENERGY and @SecretaryWright to advance nuclear power and propulsion in space, and participated in discussions on American leadership in space, expanding opportunities for emerging researchers, and leveraging the Genesis Mission to accelerate scientific discovery.

This is the Golden Age and we are moving at a pace not seen since Apollo. In the years ahead, we will launch more flagship science missions, return astronauts to the Moon, build a Moon Base, and usher in the Nuclear NASA.

Wrapped up Day 3 at #IAC2026 with more great conversations with our international partners, supporting U.S. industry as they build partnerships around the world, and sharing where America is headed in space.

It’s been a busy few days, and time well spent. We have ambitious goals and strong partners. Now it’s time to get to work.

The Trump Admin just launched the biggest set of science initiatives in decades: $6B+ across government, industry, academia, & philanthropy. 🚀

With clear direction from @POTUS, NASA returning American astronauts to the lunar surface, building humanity’s first outpost on another world, and our commercial partners like @SpaceX and @BlueOrigin are playing a critical role.

The first Moon Base mission launches this December, followed by near-monthly cadence of uncrewed lunar landings beginning in 2027.

With the signing of an MOU with @ENERGY, we’re taking the next giant leap toward exploring the outer solar system and sending American astronauts to Mars. Fission power will help us travel farther, operate longer, and power more capable scientific instruments.
