Tony Blair Institute for Global Change

AI brings huge opportunities and sizable risks.

At #UNGA Tony Blair and Bill Gates discuss why governments need to understand both.

@BillGates @gatesfoundation

Governments need a new operating model.

The modern civil service was built around generalists, administration and process. AI has changed all this.

As TBI approaches its first 10 years, our founding mission remains the same: working with leaders to help them deliver change for their people and meet the most critical challenges they face.

In a period of geopolitical disruption and rapid technological change, we’re bringing together expertise in government delivery, policy, technology, geopolitics and data to support leaders, with AI and technology increasingly at the heart of our work.

As a not-for-profit, we reinvest what we raise and earn into strengthening our resilience and our ability to deliver impact around the world.

“This weekend, the Green Party of England and Wales crossed a line. A dangerous line.”

“I don’t think people fully understand the complexity of making decisions.”

We sat down with TBI Strategic Counsellor and former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin to ask what people don’t see about decision making at the centre of government - from gathering the right information to navigating competing priorities.

This is the challenge we built CentreAI for: to help political leaders and their teams access the information they need and turn it into action.
