Sentry

Closing out the week strong! @zeeg of @sentry and @haydenbleasel of @OpenAI on why product quality, speed of execution and going above and beyond for your customers matters way more than building a competitive moat.

Unreal MCP now speaks Sentry. 🎮

Your coding agent can set up crash reporting, upload symbols, and root-cause crashes right from the Unreal editor. Check out the full blog post 👇 x.com/i/article/2108…

Come join @sergical and I next Wednesday Oct 14 @ 10am PT!

We'll be chatting about how we debug our agents at @sentry and I'll share how I come up with eval scenarios using our agent traces.

Tune in sentry.io/resources/agen…

fun fact

Ryan and I prototyped a part of the internal evals platform we are calling Signals during our yearly hackweek in august.

Ryan's been cooking since then and I'm excited to catch up and chat about shipping evals and observing our agents at @sentry

We used Sentry’s new Regex search for Logs to hunt down a non-obvious bug 🔍

Traces showed Postgres jobs backing up. Using regex, we found every log where a lock was acquired after a 10+ second wait, narrowing thousands of logs to about a dozen.

From there, trace-connected logs showed that a manual migration run via the CLI was blocking everything 👇

Most tools tell you what broke. Seer tells you why. Then your coding agent fixes it.

Here’s how Seer, the MCP, the CLI, and your agent fit together 👇 x.com/i/article/2108…

Agent traces can get too long - they have several turns and tool calls and it's tough to easily pinpoint problems when you get a complaint

With Seer+Agent Tracing @sentry, it's as simple as this OOTB

thanks to @sentry we've been able to donate big to open source maintainers EVERY SINGLE YEAR. we have receipts

Seer Agent doesn't just answer questions about your production app, it finishes the work too 🧠

Ask it in Slack or in Sentry what broke, why, and what changed in the last release. Then tell it to act on the answer.

You’re already collecting logs and traces with OpenTelemetry. Put them to work in @sentry.

Join me and @BenjaminCoe on October 20 to learn how to send OTLP logs and traces from Kubernetes to Sentry, connect them with errors, and use that context to track down slow requests and broken code.
