MVend Limited

Today, we brought @gwizaapp to Kigeme Refugee Camp as our second community space for #NdashoboyeNaGwiza.

We had an interactive session where we answered questions about Gwiza, Kataza group loan, and what it takes to get started.

Earlier today, we shared a special pitch-side moment with the Nyabiheke community as Nyabiheke FC played Kiryango FC.

As part of the Kataza programme, MVend is proud to bring @gwizaapp closer to the communities we serve, meeting them where they are and being part of the things they enjoy.

Our CEO @bobnsky offered a floor input to the panel on 'Unpacking Access to Finance for Young Rural Women Entrepreneurs for Dignified and Fulfilling Work'

He highlighted what trust looks like in practice within VSLAs and what banks can learn from these models to design products that truly serve young women in rural communities taking our ongoing collaboration with BPR Banks as an example.

Happening now: Our field and office staff are taking part in a reflection session to reconnect with why we do what we do. Like roots nourishing a tree, real impact begins at home before reaching the communities we serve through financial inclusion.
Sometimes the lines blur between routines, tasks, and targets, but sessions like this are that much-needed morning coffee after a long night or the restful sleep after a tiresome day.

Today, MVend joins consortium partners (@BRDbank , @AMIR_Rwanda , @africamanager, @imbankrw , @rwamrec ) and @MastercardFdn at the KATAZA Communications Workshop to align on strategies that drive impact, strengthen collaboration, and amplify the program’s voice across communities.

#KATAZA #MVend

Last weekend, MVend’s Board Members and Senior Managers came together for a strategic retreat to shape the company’s direction for the next three years.

The discussions centered on new innovations, fresh approaches, and creating even greater impact in the communities we serve.

Yesterday, we joined the Community of Practice on Access to Finance, convened by @MastercardFdn and @AGRA_Africa at the Kigali Convention Center. The workshop brought together stakeholders dedicated to advancing financial inclusion across Rwanda and beyond.

As MVend, our key takeaway was clear: there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Financial inclusion is complex and multi-layered, demanding collaboration across the ecosystem, from policymakers shaping strategy to practitioners in the trenches.

While challenges persist, forums like this strengthen our belief that collective effort is what drives scalable, impactful solutions.

We remain committed to building technology that bridges gaps and empowers communities and we’re grateful to walk this journey alongside such a dedicated community of partners.
