Could better AI math expose a weakness in crypto’s security?
@Legendaryy on the reasoning behind Justin Drake’s “bunker mode” warning.
“This is the part that I think got misunderstood by the timeline very, very strongly. His point is not to say that we are advancing way, way faster because we have seen a quantum breakthrough. That is not the case.
His point is to say AI got so good at math, figuring out all these math problems, who is to say that there is not a weakness to exploit in that elliptic curve algorithm because we can now do math at a way better level?
And this is his advice. Vitalik is taking a bit of an opposing view here, saying, look, he’s not advising people to move their funds to new wallets.”
Your trading thesis could become your entire trading interface.
@davidyjeong from @tread_fi explains how AI agents can turn an idea into a basket of trades, then use the trading engine to monitor and execute your rules:
“So you can say something like, if my risk exceeds this limit, I want you to rebalance my portfolio.
If the price of something exceeds some sort of level, then I want you to do something about it.
And it can react like within milliseconds, because it's not waking up every five minutes, burning tokens, checking if the level's through. It relies on our trading engine.”
A good trade idea is only half the battle. What happens between clicking buy and getting filled?
Today on The Modern Market:
07:00 ET - Regular show 07:45 ET - Interview with @davidyjeong, Co-Founder & CEO of @tread_fi, on algorithmic trading, execution and bringing institutional tools to crypto traders.
PUMP can be undervalued without deserving Hyperliquid’s valuation.
“Is it about the size of the market? Hyperliquid always had this story like, look, we’re going to bring all of TradFi on-chain. That’s a humongous TAM. Whereas Pump is meme coins. That’s not onboarding the future of finance on-chain.
So I think Hyperliquid is always going to trade at a premium. And I don’t know that it’s the same that you can just take it one for one.”
“My biggest leak in past cycles has been only buying a little bit, undersizing, being up a lot.
And then feeling like I need to add because I don't have a thousand HYPE, I don't have a hundred zcash:native . I don't have that number that feels like the make-it number the timeline is telling me it should be.
And clearly that's not a good way to trade profitably, or at least not on a long time frame.”
“I'm hopeful that these core features we have from our smart contracts become financial software essentially that exchanges, firms, stock companies in real life use to conduct market making, trading, etc.
And so they would be doing so directly through our smart contracts without ever interfacing through our website. So that's actually my vision of how Web3 just becomes the financial layer of the world.”
Stocks are moving onchain. What happens when your NFT owns them?
Tomorrow on The Modern Market:

“Retaining, rewarding and continuing to support the creators who have been around Zora for a long time. We’ve got over ten million dollars in community incentives still to distribute.
If things go well, maybe that number grows. I’d like to see those tokens purposefully distributed to help grow the app’s user base, deliver a strong trading experience that’s easy to use, and support the creators who have helped Zora survive this long.”
