Zora team is cooking
Klipguy@klipguy · Oct 1.@dg_goens drops huge product update they're working on at @zora
"We just shipped batch cancellation for auto sells. The second thing getting shipped today is that, there's going to be usernames throughout the entirety of the crosschain and custom pair experience"
"A big part of social trading is understanding who you're trading against, where they're at in the chart and what they're doing. we are working on all of those features right now, starting with showing usernames throughout the product"

random: sam not being at the white house today seems like an under discussed topic in the AI world. especially considering dario was there. it adds to the prevailing sense of underwhelm from the dev day presentations and dots echoing so much of grok design language. interesting.

The market is going to get incredibly big thanks to the full scale emergence of stablecoins, tokenized stocks, and social trading apps.
There I’ll be people from just about every walk of life making their way onchain. Serving these new niches is going to be key growing the pie.

Abrar The Crypto@AbrarTheCrypto_ · Sep 26Best answer to the moat question I've heard in a while
@dg_goens says once anyone can spin up a market, markets stop being the scarce thing. taste is what gets scarce
spend all week filtering projects for a community and that one lands a bit too close to home
makes more sense now why @Zora is built the way it is…

Traders are tastemakers.
As thousands of new markets come onchain, we’ll need curation, taste, and signal more than ever. Different apps will likely cater to different niches of market participants.
Traders will provide the strongest signal on what’s worth paying attention to.

Julian@Julian_defi · Sep 25Imagine a market for everything on the internet. As many markets as there are pieces of content.
With co-founder @dg_goens stepping in as CEO, that idea stopped being just a concept it's now built directly into the @zora mobile app.
Custom Pairs let you pair anything with anything. A LeBron meme with Nike. Internet culture meets sports, beauty and tokenized stocks all in one place.
In a world overflowing with markets, what becomes valuable? Taste and discovery. @zora is positioning itself as exactly that layer.
Feels like one of those things that could only really happen in crypto. Downloading the app this week this is the direction I want to see crypto go.

Growing the pie
ITz INSANE@ITzINSANE_NFTs · Sep 26Was skeptical going into Dee's podcast clip until he actually put numbers on the table. @Zora's sitting around 5,000 new or re-engaged users a week right now, 25,000+ unique users in the last 90 days. @dg_goens targeting 10-25k weekly and 50-100k per 90-day stretch.
I like that more than any vague "we're focused on growth" line because now there's an actual bar to hold them to.
The part that made me open the app instead of just nodding along, Custom Pairs and crosschain trading are live directly on mobile now. Solana, BNB, Robinhood Chain, Base all from one app on your phone, no desktop required.
Downloaded it earlier to poke around myself. Curious if the numbers actually move.

Some examples of where we’re rolling these rewards out in the app include: onboarding rewards, referral rewards, and creative competitions for the community.
There will be a lot of experimentation here before we get it right. Appreciate your patience and participation 🙏🏽🙏🏽

The Modern Market Show@modernmarket_ · Sep 24Over $10 million in community incentives still to come.
@dg_goens explains how @zora plans to put them to work:
“Retaining, rewarding and continuing to support the creators who have been around Zora for a long time. We’ve got over ten million dollars in community incentives still to distribute.
If things go well, maybe that number grows. I’d like to see those tokens purposefully distributed to help grow the app’s user base, deliver a strong trading experience that’s easy to use, and support the creators who have helped Zora survive this long.”
