In a regulatory win, SpaceX has secured approval to launch and operate 15,000 next-gen satellites for Starlink Mobile.

In addition, the FCC issued a waiver so that SpaceX can offer wireless services through satellites without entering into a leasing agreement with a ground-based mobile operator. pcmag.com/news/fcc-green…

However, we cannot mitigate risk when another operator maneuvers without sharing a predicted trajectory that includes the burn.

This is the biggest risk in LEO

Operating safely in space requires knowing where satellites and objects are – and where they will be in the future. This requires all operators sharing their satellites’ ephemeris data, along with predicted trajectories and planned maneuvers → space-safety.com
