Zero Prime VC

Happy SF Tech Week Day 1 ☀️

Looking forward to Wednesday morning at First Pour 🍵 with @ZeroPrimeVC: matcha, pastries + great conversation with founders and researchers building in AI and software.

See you there if you're coming!

I’m hiring a Chief of Staff to help build the next chapter of @AICouncilConf & @ZeroPrimeVC.

Most of your time will go toward running and growing AI Council. You’ll also work closely with me across both orgs to get important work done.

This is for an unusually capable generalist. The scope is intentionally broad and expected to grow. The right person will earn ownership quickly and can develop toward broader operating leadership over time.

Full time, in person in San Francisco (office near Jackson Square).
Base salary of $150,000–$180,000, based on experience.

If someone comes to mind, send this their way.

🚀We're excited to emerge from stealth and announce our $30M Seed financing round. A huge thank you to our incredible investor group including @HoxtonVentures, @BasisSet, @lightspeedvp, @northzoneVC, @localglobevc, Touring Capital, Giant Ventures, @FjLabs, @ZeroPrimeVC & Tiferes Ventures who all share and back our vision.

We’ve set out on a mission to transform how materials are designed and developed using AI and, in the process, tackle some of society’s most critical challenges. We recognise that the need for such developments could not be greater and have assembled a world-class team motivated by this very fact.

To further accelerate our impact, we're immensely grateful to have the support of @geoffreyhinton who has joined our advisory board. We are also excited to announce our partnership with @ylecun and the @Meta FAIR team to develop advanced materials for carbon capture - a critical piece of the climate puzzle.

We're just getting started, but you can learn more about our work in the full press on our site.

⚡️ Today we announced Zero Prime Ventures $48M Fund II ⚡️

I never dreamt as a young programmer 🤓 that "investing in engineers" could be someone's job description — I feel incredibly lucky to have discovered this isn't a fantasy.

👉 To all the engineer-founders who have trusted @ZeroPrimeVC to be a partner at the earliest stages of their startups
👉 To the data geeks at @DataCouncilAI who point us towards necessary, future tooling in the data & AI stack
👉 To all of our LPs, backers, supporters, co-investors, mentors and friends

… I’m incredibly grateful to you all.

Engineer-founders 🤓 who want help and startup advice can find me at Data Council in Austin next week (or at a Blue Bottle in Soma).

We're just getting started. 🚀

We loved co-hosting the Data on the Rocks cocktail reception at #AWSreInvent with @FoundationCap and @ZeroPrimeVC this week!

Many thanks to the cloud founders, CEOs and executives who joined us this year.
