Inside tip: the song in this video was made by layering the same Voice twice. We tried combining an opera Voice with a hip-hop Style in the new Udio Playground and got a couple of interesting initial song generations from it.

We then used our favorite one as a Style reference for a new creation, and then re-added the same Voice to it again from the Create page. Voilà, extra cinematic and rich results.

We’re launching two new features today, both designed with fun in mind 😜. First, we added a new Voice Blending tool, which allows you to blend together the vocals from more than one song to create a new custom sound. You can find it under the “Voice Control” tab on the Create page (a “Create Blend” button will appear after a first Voice has been added).

Second, we’re excited to share a brand new creation experience called the Udio Playground, where you can make music from the simple building blocks of a voice + a musical style. Check out the video to see it in action.

We’ve been enjoying testing these out perhaps a little too much. Hope you do as well!

Udio tip: Combine our Styles and Voices features to mix genres and get your perfect sound.

We just rolled out some improvements to how our models handle creating tracks of different lengths. Now instead of only being able to choose between 0:32s clips or 2:10s songs, you can use a slider to choose a custom length in between. You can also start listening to your longer songs faster — we’ve introduced quick playback while the song finishes generating in the background.

That means less waiting and more creating: our testing has shown that the average time to listen to a song 1+ minute in length is now over 2X faster.

Udio tip: Using our voices feature, drop in your track, choose a voice, and hear your music come to life.

Allow us to introduce you to some of the Voices in the new Udio Voices Library. You can meet the rest of the ensemble under the Voice Control tab on udio.com/create.

🎤 Introducing Voices — your first look at tight, consistent vocal control. You can now choose the specific Voice that you’d like your songs to feature, either of your own creation or from Udio’s library of pre-loaded Voices. Head to the Voice Control tab on the Create Page to take a peek at what’s now possible.

To create your own Voices, just generate a new track and tap “Voice” from its dropdown menu in your Library, then “Use Voice”. If you’re happy with the results, then you can tap “Save Voice” on any of the new song(s) you made to easily access that Voice again from the Voice Control tab in the future.

This feature's available to everyone on a trial basis for two weeks starting today, and then will become reserved for subscribers (all tiers).

It’s a big day for the Styles feature on Udio 👀 We’ve just released a major batch of updates, including unlocking basic access for all users, rolling out Style Blending, and adding in a brand new Style Library where you can browse curated songs across genres that are free to use as Style References.

The features below will be available to all subscribers, after a 7 day trial period for free users that starts today:

🔀 Style Blending, which allows you to select two songs at a time to create your own custom genre fusions and musical mashups.

📀 Premium Artist Styles in the Style Library. We’re testing this concept out with a small selection of songs contributed by the legendary keyboardist and composer @jcrudess. Stay tuned for more on Artist Styles soon.
