Our first priority is getting the hardware right. The glasses have to fall into the category of “beautiful eyewear”, not “consumer electronics product”.

I’ve been wearing Sesame frames for months now, and I have not had a single person wonder whether they are anything other than regular eyewear.

Yesterday, we shared that our glasses will be Made in Japan, reflecting our commitment to achieving a level of craft suitable for the category.

The new Sesame voice model is more expressive, intelligent and capable. It has its own full computer to do all sorts of research and complex tasks.

It's hard to describe. You can use it as a live thought partner to riff and learn new things, iterate on documents together, even manage coding agents. It feels like a new species.

Try it in the October update of the Sesame app.

To craft for conversation, timing is everything. Natural conversation is a social dance, and timing matters just as much as tone and delivery.

Most voice AI doesn't do this well yet.

So we built TurnBench: an open benchmark that measures whether voice AI knows when your turn is really over, and when an "mm-hmm" is agreement, not an interruption.

Learn more about how we built this on our blog.

We're just getting started: sesame.com/beta

This week we released an update to our research preview that improves its ability to filter out background noise while keeping your speech sounding clear.

If you notice a difference, please share feedback at the end of your call!

When we launched our research preview, we didn't expect so many folks to connect with it so deeply! We've been hard at work improvements, and we're looking forward to sharing more updates soon.

You can now follow along in our official Discord server: discord.gg/sesame

Maya and Miles are learning new languages!

This week, we deployed a new voice model to our web demo with improved support for Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Give it a try and let us know what you think: sesame.com/voicedemo

Since the launch of our research demo, we’ve been hearing from people who are excited by what Maya and Miles can be. The team is grateful for all the great feedback and we are hard at work on some upcoming improvements. Today, we are launching a logged-in call experience that provides 30-minute call times and shared memory across devices. More to come!

We're excited to be getting all the great feedback. Some of you may have noticed that Maya and Miles have been getting busy these past few hours. Rest assured, we're working to help them answer more calls!
