Tonight was the night that I taught my kid about Jeffrey Maier and how he robbed Game 1 of the 1996 ALCS from the Orioles, and I realized I’m still not over it. Thank goodness she won’t have to grow up in an era without instant replay.

Ravens' Thursday injury report:

Lamar Jackson indeed did not practice for a second straight day.

WR Zay Flowers (foot) was limited for a second straight day.

Ronnie Stanley (toe/ankle) was a full practice participant.

Kyle Hamilton (groin) was also full, along with Rashod Bateman (shoulder).

Derrick Henry said he thinks Bijan Robinson is the best running back in the league right now.

Still don’t see QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) on practice field and Trey Hendrickson (finger) is in workout gear, not uniform.
But quite a few Ravens back practicing, including Zay Flowers (foot), Rashod Bateman (shoulder),Kyle Hamilton (groin), Ronnie Stanley (toe/ankle) and Andrew Vorhees (foot)

Pretty clear how much Cam Jurgens meant to his teammates. Eagles OT Jordan Mailata said they shed a tear together.

Ravens had seven players who didn't practice today, including Lamar Jackson. The Ravens will continue to evaluate his ankle throughout the week.

Good news is some absences were rest related and Jesse Minter doesn't think Marlon Humphrey and Andrew Vorhees will be sidelined long.

"They are dealing with some small things and it may limit them for a day or two or whatever, but we feel pretty good about the rest of the guys.”

Durham Smythe (Achilles) has been officially placed on injured reserve.

Vega Ioane on the Cam Jurgens trade:

“We just got better as a team. He’s a great player. I watched his game a lot, too. It’s a good thing for us. Unfortunately for me, I was just starting to like center. But hey, anything is better than me. I love that for us and I love that for him.”

“Cam Jurgens has been playing out of position at guard..

I’m excited for him to get back to playing center and he meant a lot to the Philadelphia Eagles..

I look forward to seeing what he can do in Baltimore” ~ @JasonKelce #PMSLive

Here's my story on the Ravens' huge move to trade for Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens.

baltimoreravens.com/news/ravens-tr…

We have acquired Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles!

Trade: Eagles are sending two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 7th-round pick to the Ravens in exchange for a 2027 5th-round pick and a 2028 2nd-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Really cool that Roquan Smith is getting a bunch of tickets for kids from back home in Macon County, Georgia.

He said there will be about 50 kids. He's been setting this up for months with the recreation department.
