Piers Morgan

Jamie Carragher was stupid to spit at that car, but no more stupid than the father was to be filming Carragher as he drove his daughter.
So I hope @Carra23 keeps his job.
He’s a great pundit, has apologised profusely for what he did - and his victim behaved badly too.

Reporter: “Piers Morgan said Palmer is a coward after withdrawing from the England camp?”

🗣️ Xabi Alonso: "I don't know this person."

Carra goes in two-footed on Ferdinand and Morgan: You’re EMBARRASSING! Stop talking NONSENSE!

Jamie Carragher has laid into @piersmorgan and Rio Ferdinand for their defence of Ronaldo after his humiliating fallout with the Portugal manager.

Speaking on the debut episode of @ThatsFootballTV, he went in hard:

“People think it’s really good to be in with people in the game. This is when it’s a problem. So you see people like Piers Morgan and Rio Ferdinand, who are big people in the media, whether you like them or not, absolutely embarrassing themselves with the nonsense that they’re coming out with, because they know Ronaldo and they want to get an interview with him.”

“You can know someone and try and look after them a bit, but you can’t defend the indefensible; it’s embarrassing.”

Piers, who’s basically Ronaldo’s PR man at this point, will no doubt respond 😂

Rio has already lost credibility as a pundit with the way he blindly defends Manchester United while working with the club. This just confirms it.

In 2017 I interviewed a soldier who took part in the SAS night raids in Afghanistan. In 2024 I gave evidence to the public inquiry into allegations of Extra Judicial Killings. While I believe those EJKs took place it is essential to understand the strategic context. My book Blades asks the fundamental question ‘what would you have done?’ Because at the time UK govt support for Counter Terrorism operations was non-existent. The human rights of the Taliban were prioritised over the lives of British soldiers. SAS soldiers faced an impossible dilemma. The bombmakers and facilitators operated outside UK ROE and were recycled back onto the battlefield within 96hrs of capture. Yet the IED networks represented the enemy’s most potent threat. Many hundreds of British soldiers and Afghan civilians were being blown up. I am proud that my newspaper the Mail has had the courage to set out these arguments. This is bold journalism. The SAS are not a rogue unit and its soldiers acted rationally and professionally in impossible circumstances. I will debate those points with anyone, anywhere. mol.im/a/16197881

I respect Joe immensely and he’s earned his opinion on topics like this through honorable service and unimaginable sacrifice. But I disagree.

The dignity and decency of the fabric of our great nation is fully present in the fact this traitor is alive 16 years after turning a gun on his fellow service members and declaring allegiance to our enemies. He has received a fully adjudicated sentence and if we are righteous in the use of capital punishment then the society mandating it should have the right to see what that actually is.

Executing someone stands as both an act of justice for the victims and a promise fulfilled to would be offenders.

All executions mandated by the will of the people should happen before the eyes of the people.

If it is too ugly to see, perhaps then it is too ugly to do.

But let me not mince words.

Shoot straight soldiers and send his soul to hell where it belongs.
