Eugene Vinitsky 🦋@EugeneVinitsky · Oct 7Percepta is an amazing place because we're out here daily trying to make systems that matter in your day-to-day life better. We have absurd levels of access and deployment to critical industries and a great research team. Please reach out over email if you're excited.

Once a language model ships, the world it knows is frozen. Updating it usually means retraining, or bolting on external retrieval systems that decide what the model gets to see.
Our new architecture, Spotlight, offers a different route.

Eugene Vinitsky 🦋@EugeneVinitsky · Oct 7I'm hiring for our interpretable world modeling effort at Percepta! The core question: how can we make an agent build a simulator, understand a company, and then design a policy, all from unstructured data? Come work with me and our amazing team.

Linear complexity and growing memory; another wacky exciting result from @percepta
Christos Tzamos@ChristosTzamos · Oct 2LLMs don’t need retraining to become more capable.
Our new architecture, Spotlight, gives AI models growing memory, allowing them to gain knowledge and capabilities without changing their weights.
Token generation takes constant work, no matter how much information is stored.

An AI that knows your organization should get better the longer you use it. Today's models struggle with that: they either reread everything or forget the details. Our new architecture, Spotlight, gives models a memory that keeps growing without getting slower or more expensive.

Last week, @htaneja joined @hirshjain at our office for a fireside chat on the state of AI and venture.
Hemant talked about the moment ChatGPT launched. It was the first time a single technology had every CEO, in every industry, in every country, grappling to figure out what to do with it.
For General Catalyst, that came with a recognition: the world was going to be transformed, and the real question was what role to play in that transformation.
The principle of "inclusive prosperity," where you empower everyone to do the transforming themselves, ties closely to Percepta's mission.
That's why we started with healthcare, government, and financial services: the categories that actually touch people's lives. And Hemant's bet, one we share, is that as software gets democratized, relationships become the advantage that's left standing.
