Neon CTO Round Table - Edition 1

We brought together 20+ CTOs and VPs of Engineering from some of the fastest-growing AI companies in the Bay Area!

We're making this a recurring room. If you're a CTO or technical founder building in AI and want in on the next one, DM us!

Last week, We hosted a group of builders for our Agentic Infra Meetup. We spent the morning digging into the reality of agent orchestration, observability, and the infrastructure required to make AI agents actually work.

85% of employees worldwide are disengaged, costing businesses $1.8T annually.

Great companies aren’t just built by hiring great people—they’re built by creating environments where employees thrive. A place where they feel heard, valued, and engaged.

E-commerce is Data-Rich, But Insight-Poor.

Imagine a global brand selling across dozens of e-commerce platforms (like Amazon, Walmart, Lazada) in multiple countries.

Every day, these platforms generate millions of data points but without clear insights, marketing teams either overspend on ads that don’t convert, underinvest in the right opportunities, or lose market share to digital-native competitors who optimize in real time.

Read our recent blog to learn how Rohit and Tarun are solving this problem with 1DigitalStack, serving companies like HP, Unilever, Colgate & Nivea and managing a $300+ million in annual advertising spend!

Humantic AI is changing the rules of sales by shifting from me-first selling – (my quota, my products, my services) – to Buyer-First selling.

Amarpreet has been working on making software intelligent and humane for close to a decade. He knew sales had to evolve in a world where it has become increasingly easy to spam and no matter how many GenAI sales tools come into the picture, the truth will always remain PEOPLE BUY FROM PEOPLE and not from machines.

Cybercrime is projected to cost the world $10.5 trillion annually by 2025.

Whether you call data the new oil or the new gold, it is definitely lucrative to steal it. The larger the business, the more attractive it becomes for attackers.

46% of organisations say they suffered reputational damage due to a data breach. And it takes an average of 277 days to identify and contain a data breach.

The philosophy of ‘You Build It, You Run It’ works perfectly in an ideal world. But in reality, DevOps is far from perfect. And this complexity is not how you build great things.

It's time to change. It’s time to simplify, automate, and innovate.

At Neon, we're proud to back @pravanjan, @anshulsao & Rohit at @FacetsCloud in revolutionizing software development and deployment.

Facets is simplifying the complex and automating the mundane for millions of developers at thousands of companies. They are changing 'how things are done' in the world of cloud computing.

Startups are a paradox.

You need to have a certain amount of delusion to believe that you can solve a massive problem, but at the same time also be flexible to accept what’s not working and make quick iterations.

That’s what the trio of Himank, Atharva & Prabhat have always done who are building the future of business intelligence at Crux.

“If you build it, they will come,” is a myth that everyone falls for pretty quickly.

But businesses are slow to realise an important truth, “If you don’t talk to them, they will never convert.”

And this is the problem Gallabox Founders Karthik, Yathin, and Yogesh are solving for thousands of businesses across the world.
