Matt Garman

AWS CEO Matt Garman with a16z's Raghu Raghuram on the biggest cloud provider in the world being rebuilt for the agentic era:

$220B in CapEx for 2026, two million NVIDIA GPUs on order, AWS's AI chips sold out through next year, and a new 30-second AWS account with no credit card required so agents can get rolling.

The best thing we can do for builders is get out of their way.

Starting on @awscloud is now easier than ever. Sign up, build in minutes.

Can't wait to see what you build.

AI needs 2-3x more networking bandwidth. @awscloud has doubled network capacity in three years and will double again by 2027. A lot of the work to make that possible starts in the Network Product Development lab: aboutamazon.com/stories/inside…

America can lead the most important race of our generation, and getting the facts right is a big part of how we do it. Today we're sharing our Amazon Data Center Commitment and launching Built Together, a new investment in the communities where we build. x.com/i/article/2105…

You can't predict what data an AI agent will need. With DuckDB now inside Aurora PostgreSQL, one endpoint reaches your live operational data and everything in your data lake, with nothing to copy or keep in sync. DuckDB remains open source. aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/amaz…

GPT-6.1 Sol from @OpenAI is now generally available on Amazon Bedrock, approaching the performance of OpenAI's flagship model GPT-6 Astra at a fraction of the cost.

The companies getting value from AI aren't the ones saving the most time, they're the ones deciding what to do with that time. Too often it just gets reabsorbed into more of the same work, done faster. The opportunity is to point AI at something new, something customers couldn't get before. That's what our new Reimagine: Turning AI into Value report gets into. Read it here: aws.amazon.com/executive-insi…

@awscloud is now the first cloud provider approved for @NATO RESTRICTED workloads across all 32 NATO member nations.

Excited about what this will unlock for our customers and partners across the Alliance. aboutamazon.com/news/aws/aws-f…

The most durable skill in the age of AI isn’t any single technology. It’s learning.

I was back at @Stanford last week celebrating the Stanford-Amazon Research Initiative, bringing our researchers together to work on hard problems across AGI, robotics, healthcare and more.

Excited to see what we learn and solve together.

Put the right tools in the hands of ambitious builders and they'll show you things you didn't expect.
Great seeing that in action at our @awscloud Global Meeting this week.

Thanks to @mza for hosting, @odysseyml's @olivercameron for showing us Agora-2, and @Francessca_V and @steipete, creator of @openclaw and now at @OpenAI, for a great conversation on how AI is changing the way developers build.

Grateful to everyone pushing the work forward.

The biggest unlock I see right now isn't just AI for engineers. It's AI for everyone else, the people who never touch code but spend half their day in email, spreadsheets, and five different systems.

The @amazonquick desktop app is generally available today on macOS and Windows, with a new mobile experience that carries the same context to your phone.

Your agents keep working even after you close your laptop.

What customers want from an agent is simple: give it a hard problem and let it make progress without constant handholding. That's what GPT-6 Astra is built for.

@OpenAI's most capable model is now available on Amazon Bedrock. Build with it through Bedrock's APIs, or use it through ChatGPT Work and Codex on Bedrock.

A student who already knows how to build with AI walks into their first job ready on day one.

Starting today, millions of students across 132 universities and 18 countries can get free access to @kirodotdev for a full year; the same engineering agent professional teams use every day.

Honored to be named to @TIME's 2026 TIME100 AI list. This one belongs to our customers and the teams at @awscloud. Still early.

Excited to announce a major expansion of our partnership with @JensenHuang and @nvidia . 2M additional GPUs, AI factories with 100K GPUs for the U.S. Government, and more.

Demand for reliable AI infrastructure continues to accelerate and we're building to keep pace. @awscloud is the best place to run NVIDIA technologies, and we're extending that lead.

Welcome to AWS, Hannes, Mark, and the @ducklabs_com team.

DuckDB changed how developers work with data. It runs anywhere, it's fast, and people reach for it because it just works. DuckDB stays free and open source under the DuckDB Foundation.

Excited about what's ahead.

Grok 4.6 is now available on Amazon Bedrock. Thanks to @elonmusk and the @SpaceXAI team for the partnership.

Looking forward to what customers build with this.

Agents are getting really good at reasoning and taking action. Paying for something has been a lot harder.

AgentCore Payments is now GA with @coinbase and @stripe, giving agents a managed way to pay for APIs, content, data feeds, and even other agents, with spending limits and observability built in.

Proud to share that @novonordisk has selected @awscloud as its preferred cloud provider and strategic AI partner.

Through a new co-innovation hub in London, AWS engineers and AI specialists are working alongside their researchers to help compress drug discovery timelines.

Today we're open sourcing Kiro Crew, a workspace built on @kirodotdev where you get your own crew of agents, wired into the tools you already use, that you can run several at once and schedule to run when you need them.

It started as a side project by three of our engineers and grew because builders kept extending it for what they needed, from on-call rotations to incidents spread across repos to overnight migrations. Now it's open to every developer.
