GPT-6 and Intelligent UI, now rolling out in ChatGPT for everyone.

Intelligent UI in ChatGPT delivers fast, interactive answers that make everyday questions more visual, complex topics easier to grasp, and interactive tools for your task available on the spot.

We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model.

We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results.

We heard you loud and clear. ChatGPT Voice can now:

- Use plugins like your email, calendar, and Slack.

- Be powered by GPT-6 Astra, Sol, and Luna.

- Be used in ChatGPT Work on web and mobile, so you can create docs, decks, sites, and spreadsheets or tackle complex tasks in the browser, just by talking.

Rolling out globally today in the latest version of the app.

Please welcome GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna to the GPT-6 universe.

GPT-6 Sol and Luna build on the advances behind GPT-6 Astra, bringing much of its strengths into faster and more affordable models to support work at scale.

We’ve also made caching and inference more efficient, and we’re passing the savings directly to you: 50% lower API prices for Sol and Luna compared with GPT‑5.6 promotional pricing.

Starting today, you can connect multiple accounts with most plugins in ChatGPT! 🎉

Bring context from your work and personal accounts into the same conversation. Connect your accounts in the plugin directory: chatgpt.com/plugins

Devs: this works automatically, with no changes needed.

But, to make the experience for users of your plugin even better, add a profile tool to your MCP server so ChatGPT can label the accounts: developers.openai.com/plugins/build/…

Astra for Law: Frontier intelligence built for your practice.

A new offering powered by GPT-6 Astra with tools, settings, and context to support the expertise and judgment of lawyers and legal technology firms.

ChatGPT Ads for @Shopify is live. We are @OpenAI's first commerce partner.

OpenAI pulls straight from Shopify Catalog, so merchants' products are already there.

Merchants set their own campaigns, their own budget. Free to install, tracked right from the Shopify admin.

Consumers are asking ChatGPT what to buy. Shopify merchants are able to decide exactly how they show up.

Today we rolled out Astra to every engineer at Databricks (N=~3500). Some notes that may be helpful to others:

1. Astra unambiguously out performs our previous highest-end models (Opus 5, Sol 5.6) on highly complex tasks, especially those related to high level system design or long range horizontal tasks.

2. Engineers given Astra increased overall coding spend by around 60% compared to baseline.

3. It is not clear Astra meaningfully improves on medium/low complexity coding tasks compared to earlier models. We suspect those tasks are mostly saturated (i.e. perfectly executed) by existing models.

4. We learned above by piloting Astra with around 200 users to gain signal on both quality and cost. We use Unity Gateway to do cohort-based experiments for all new models.

5. We give engineers a sub-budget specific to Astra to encourage them to use Astra selectively on complex tasks while preferring lower cost models for everyday tasks. Our engineers are able to mix-and-match tools and models within their overall budget envelope (we also allow for increased budgets through various mechanisms). These budgets are defined in Unity Gateway and regularly revisited.

Note: We do not have robust comparisons of Astra-vs-Fable because we have net yet rolled out Fable widely due to data retention policies.

I’ve got Codex (voice) in CarPlay. And it’s fantastic.

I can now build things during road trips, while all 5 kids make a noise and my wife asks why I talk to the AI more than I talk to her.

It runs through my Nightblood iOS app, which gives ChatGPT Voice a face, personality and full access to Codex, my Mac and all the native tools.

Astra = top model by spend last week
Luna = top model by tokens (by a LOT)

Now everyone can put data to work.

We’re introducing a new Data agent in ChatGPT Work so you can turn your company’s data into answers, interactive dashboards, and action—just by asking.

Just add the Data Plugin in ChatGPT Work, connect to the data sources and context you already use, and start the conversation. openai.com/index/put-data…

Three months ago, we launched ChatGPT Sites – an easy way for anyone to build and host fully functional, interactive web apps. Since then, people have created over 5M sites.

We’ve been listening to your feedback and ICYMI, we’ve launched a few Sites updates:

🫂 Build together: Invite teammates to edit, save, and publish to your shared Site

🔐 Share privately: Invite specific people to a private Site without making it public

🚀 Launch faster: Go from prompt to deployment in half the time

👀 Explore your data: Ask ChatGPT to inspect your Site’s database. Editors can view it, too

🌐 Add your own custom domain

Now available: ChatGPT for Financial Services.

This is a tailored ChatGPT Work experience that combines built-in financial data with GPT-6 Astra’s reasoning.

Teams can develop research, build financial models, and create customized client materials.

GPT-6 Astra is now the best-performing frontier model for antibody developability prediction in our benchmark. 🧬

Finding an antibody that binds is only the beginning. Will it aggregate? Will it stay stable? Can it actually behave like a drug?

GPT-6 Astra predicts these developability properties better than the other frontier models we tested. 🤯

And yes, the interactive visualization showing how an antibody actually works was also built with Astra in about 1 hour.

This model looks seriously powerful.

GPT-6 Astra just solved a problem medical students have been facing for decades

Medical students have been working around the same three problems for decades. Someone talked to them, identified all three, and built a service with Astra that solves them in one tool.

The problems are structural. Flat anatomical diagrams strip depth out of organs entirely. CT cross-sections don't connect naturally to the overview diagrams students spend years memorizing. And reading a scan requires holding three mental models simultaneously - patient orientation, cross-section direction, and how every organ shape shifts through each layer.

Astra built a service that handles all three in one place. Not a better textbook. A spatial tool that connects the diagram, the CT view, and the 3D relationship together.

Medical education hasn't changed its core format in over a century. This might be the first tool designed around how anatomy is actually understood - not just displayed.

We mobilized 250+ people to strengthen our defenses across hundreds of systems. Our latest cyber models helped us find and fix vulnerabilities we might never have discovered otherwise.

We’re sharing what we learned, the architecture, and a practical playbook so you can build your own Defense Factory: a continuous loop where AI agents find vulnerabilities, validate them, and verify that fixes work.
