The Senator The Boda & UNESCO

The clock was ticking. Paris was gridlocked. UNESCO was waiting.

Sen. Ledama Olekina had one question: “Can I get a BODA?”

No motorcade. No fuss. Just mission.
Lesson, when the road won’t move, change route

It was a pleasure to host Sen. @ledamalekina at the Embassy on 1st October as part of his official engagements in Paris.

We appreciate his commendation of our work in strengthening Kenya-France economic & political ties. His call to leverage France’s comparative advantage in agriculture & manufacturing for Kenya’s benefit is well noted.

He also underscored tourism as a key pillar for growth, jobs & conservation — and challenged us to market Kenya even more aggressively as the region’s preferred destination.

Asante sana Mheshimiwa for the insights & encouragement. 🇰🇪🇫🇷

The Embassy was honoured to receive PS Dr. @SingoeiAKorir in Paris.
Despite his busy schedule, he took time to engage with Mission staff, offering guidance and sharing invaluable wisdom.
We are enriched, inspired, and re-energized to continue executing our mandate of promoting, protecting and projecting Kenya's image in France and our countries of accreditation.
Asante sana, PS. 🇰🇪🇫🇷

Honoured to address young scholars at @SciencesPo Paris on Africa’s strategic transformation hosted by France-Africa Foundation. We live in a Dickensian, “Tale of Two Cities" era—I submitted; facing global headwinds, yet holding unprecedented opportunities for partnership and growth.

In this era, Africa’s strategic posture is defined by three imperatives: Awakening, Advantage, and Agency. We are not defined by history’s challenges. With a median age of 19, rich green minerals, and the AfCFTA, Africa is building the world’s largest single market.

Agency in Action: Africa is lifting itself by its bootstraps through internal AU reforms, economic integration, and launching innovations like the Africa Credit Rating Agency in Mauritius. We are moving from raw material exports to value addition.
Yet, agency is constrained by unfair financial architectures. Access to capital costs Africa 3–4x more than European nations, sovereign debt caps are discriminatory, and borrowing costs spiked 91% (2020–2024) due to currency volatility. It’s time for a level playing field for Africa.

Appreciate PS @SingoeiAKorir for pointing us in the right direction.

Kenya-France ties are soaring. Your steady hand is our anchor & compass to keep the Africa Forward momentum alive. 🇰🇪🤝🇫🇷

Mr Chirchir paid a courtesy call to brief on the opportunities for sports and cultural collaboration between Kenya and France beyond Miramas an athletes training ground . We discussed how optimize opportunities from AFCON and World Athletics Championship whereby KENYA MUST WIN

Looking forward to a fruitful weekend in Paris as we embark on a series of strategic engagements aimed at deepening the Kenya-France relations and the launch of an #AfricaForward follow up mechanism. From Nairobi to Paris, our focus remains clear: transforming strategic dialogue into tangible investments for sustainable growth and youth opportunity across our continent.

To kickstart the day, I visited Kenya Mission this morning and interacted with our team led by ambassador Betty Cherwon and Deputy ambassador Luseneka. @ForeignOfficeKE

Wishing him a successful tour of duty

At the G7 Summit, President Ruto made one point clear: Africa is not an aid recipient but a partner, not a spectator but an active player. Africa is the future.
Kenya’s influence was evident, with the country’s priorities reflected across eight outcome documents of the Summit.

Kenya carried forward the outcomes of the Africa Forward Summit to the G7.
It was a proud moment to witness H.E. President William Ruto articulate Africa’s position with exceptional grit, authority, and clarity. Through facts, figures, and lived examples

The G7 Summit concluded on a high note for Kenya having been invited as a partner country alongside Brazil, Egypt,India, and South Korea. Partner countries are emerging economies integrated into the G7’s technical discussions to address emerging economic and security challenges
