Congratulations to Morocco on being selected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as one of seven countries to receive a new five-year Food for Progress award!

The USDA award to Morocco of up to $33.1 million aims to strengthen its food safety and livestock sectors. Supported by the sale of 33,000 metric tons of U.S.-grown soybean meal and wheat, the project will be implemented by Counterpart International and is expected to benefit approximately 5,000 people.

As we celebrate 250 years of friendship, we look forward to strengthening our economic partnership and growing together for years to come.

An impressive display in the skies over the Marrakech Air Show! The F-35 flyover, the first in Africa, showcased the innovation, advanced technology, and operational capabilities that define American aviation. And great to see Morocco’s F-16 flyover. A powerful demonstration of U.S. aerospace excellence and the strong defense partnership between the United States and Morocco.

The evening highlighted our longstanding bilateral defense partnership, close military cooperation, and shared commitment to regional security.

Valued an important discussion yesterday with Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita on our long-standing U.S.-Morocco partnership and shared regional priorities. We remain committed to deepening our cooperation and working together to advance peace, security, and prosperity across the region.

And it goes right to the rebuilding and relief. Morocco, Bahrain, these are the countries, they gave. Qatar, Kuwait, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, and many more.

The @StateDept , supported by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory partnered with @Marocdiplo_EN and @FAR_Maroc_ to bring practitioners from 10 African States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) to participate in “Atlas,” a three-day tabletop exercise focused on preventing, detecting, and responding to chemical terrorism threats. Through interactive discussions and exercises, and under guidance from a diverse set of experts, notably from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons @OPCW, participants explored ways to strengthen cooperation and preparedness to address evolving chemical security challenges in a modern-day setting.

Last week, Phoenix Express 2026 concluded in Tunisia, bringing together African, European, and U.S. maritime forces to strengthen cooperation and maritime security across the Mediterranean. Through shared expertise, training, and partnership, the exercise reinforced the strong bonds between the participating nations and the United States in advancing a safer and more secure maritime environment.
