Apropos of my previous post about albums that made an impact on your life? This one.
And it's horror related, so I'm 'avin it!

The Mummy's Shroud - Scientist (1981)

My9Fillums ask? Bit easier, actually. Just.

You?

See a lot of people are doing this so, in for a penny..?
You have to be as honest as you can, and you can't add "It would be a completely different list tomorrow" like a big baby.

Another library album. Fear (1978) on the Bruton label.
I particularly like the track Birdclusters by Paul Martin.
This is "you're being secretly followed home by sinister goblins through a forest at night" music.

I spent a wonderfully fun and spooky evening at The London Palladium last night in the company of Prof. Reece Shearsmith performing his book tour show.
We were also overjoyed by the surprise guests. Reece's part storytelling, part memoir wot is in my hand was published yesterday.

Snakefinger & The Resident's 1980 cover version of the best track off of Ennio Morricone's score, The Exorcist 2: The Heretic (1977). youtube.com/watch?v=Kwow6C…

I notice the Sondheim Theatre has a sign displaying the casual name for their show. Should install another sign saying 'The Glums'
Can't bear smug abbreviations for TV shows, ie- Strictly, The Gen Game, 'Hot, Mum. I once heard Richard Griffiths refer to Pie In The Sky, as 'Pie'!

Dawn Of The Dead OST (1978)
La caccia - Goblin. One of the great soundtracks. A huge deal for me to see it performed live back then.
Ha! Found the concert ticket in the sleeve + an old pic of my old DOTD figures.

A Nosferatu silver 7" from RSD 2016.
Selections from James Bernard's 1995 score for the 1922 silent classic.
That silhouette still remains one of the most chilling images in cinema.

Last week, in conversation I stupidly said I needed one of those fluorescent 'hi res' jackets rather than saying 'hi vis' jackets. A FLAC jacket, perhaps?
Gettin' old.

7" of the Hammer House Of Horror theme by Roger Webb.
Saturday nights in 1980 were a treat for a young horror fan. A tune that still makes me feel excited, a bit anxious but slightly melancholic.

Today, I had to go on the tube at 8am for a work appointment. I forgot how ghastly the Underground is at that time of the day. I thought to myself, "Won't be doing this again in a hurry."
Except I will, as the appointment is actually tomorrow morning. I am no use nor ornament.

Before The Twilight Zone, there was the scary ABC TV anthology series, One Step Beyond (1959-61), hosted and directed by John Newland.
TRACK: Fear - Harry Lubin.
Theremin and eerie female wailing? I'm all in.

Halloween adjacent? And REALLY cheesy!?!
I'm going in, people!

The French version of Geoff Love's 1975 Horror Themes album
Night Of Horror by Roger Webb
Was playing this rather loud last night with the window open. Another reason my neighbours must think I'm a complete nutter. 😕

Breath Of Danger (1974) Library music album.
The Unknown - Brian Bennett
I'm visualising a nervous detective (played by Ian Hendry) stealthily creeping around an abandoned hospital, hearing the echo of distant cackles.

Things I have learnt today Pt 2

There was a 1991 sequel to the 1986 film, 'FX' called unsurprisingly 'FX2'. Another movie premise that wouldn't work the same today
DoJ: Rollie, we need you to stage a fake murder using your spfx skills
Rollie: Use Ai. I'm off for a round of golf"

This year, I'm creating a Halloween advent calendar!
👻WOooOOooo!!!👻
Each day of this month, I'll post a track from a favourite spooky-related record in my demonic possession.

The Dunwich Horror O.S.T. (1970)

youtube.com/watch?v=NwEfm3…

In the consumer TV show, That's Life, Doc Cox was a co-presenter. His alter ego was Ivor Biggun. I wonder how he got that job considering his scatological, smutty music career.
It'd be like if BBC's Watchdog hired K**t & The Gang to sing to people in Fulham North End Road market.

Finally squeezed into a pair of black jeans that haven't fitted me in an age. When I did up the button, I could've swore I just heard some fireworks going off and a burst of the Hallelujah chorus.
