.@NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya addressed attendees during the Reception to Celebrate Medical Research the evening before the #RallyforMedicalResearch. He noted that the remarkable progress made against a wide range of diseases was the result of decades of sustained research.

.@AACRPres Keith Flaherty introduced Reed Jobs, founder of #RallyforMedicalResearch Lead Sponsor Yosemite, during the Reception to Celebrate Medical Research. Mr. Jobs told attendees that, with sustained funding for research, "This is where we're going to make cancer nonlethal."
