‘We ache for love, but love eludes us. Out of this crisis comes so much of what it means to be human’

Shon Faye grew up quietly obsessed with the feeling that love was not for her. Not just romantic love: the secret fear of her own unworthiness...

Happy International Non-Binary People's Day!
Today, we celebrate and honnor the beautiful diversity of non-binary identities. As an LGBTQ+ bookshop, we believe in the power of stories to foster understanding, acceptance, and pride.

Supporting our non-binary community is at the heart of why we exist. By providing a space where non-binary voices are heard and valued, we hope to empower individuals and promote a world where everyone can live authentically.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. 💛🤍💜🖤

📣 Calling All LGBTQ+ Authors 📣

Join Queer Lit as we march in the Manchester Pride parade this year! While we are eager to celebrate with our community, we are also standing up against the alarming trend of LGBTQ+ books being banned and removed from schools across the UK. This year, our parade is not just a celebration—it's a protest.

Our theme: "Don't Ban My Book"

We will be proudly marching with printed placards of your books, emblazoned with the powerful message: Don't Ban My Book.

We need you, our vibrant community of LGBTQ+ authors from around the North or those attending Manchester Pride to march with us. Let's make our voices heard and our stories seen!

If you're interested in marching with us and making a stand, please send an email to pride@queerlit.co.uk

Together, let's ensure our stories remain accessible and celebrated.
