Bitcoin is attempting to recover $82,000 after another difficult session.

The rebound followed comments from President Trump indicating that the United States would not launch new attacks against Iran before the November midterm elections.

Oil prices retreated from their session highs, easing some immediate pressure on risk assets. However, Bitcoin remains below the $83,000–$84,000 area we discussed earlier this week.

Geopolitical tensions aren't the only thing putting pressure on crypto. Institutional demand has also weakened.

On October 7 alone, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $485 million in net outflows, their largest single-day withdrawal since June.

At the same time, rising Treasury yields and a stronger U.S. dollar have made the environment increasingly difficult for risk assets.

The question is whether Bitcoin's recovery is the beginning of a more sustained move higher or simply a temporary bounce after several days of selling. 🍿

Investors will now be able to trade actual stock-backed tokens on Solana.

Yesterday, Securitize announced the launch of a new platform allowing eligible investors to buy and trade tokenized shares of some of the world's largest publicly traded companies.

The initial offering includes 12 companies, such as:

Apple ($AAPL), Nvidia ($NVDA), Microsoft ($MSFT), Tesla ($TSLA), Amazon ($AMZN), Meta ($META), Alphabet ($GOOG), Netflix ($NFLX), Strategy ($MSTR)

These aren't synthetic assets that simply follow the price of a stock.

Each token is backed 1:1 by an actual underlying share held through Securitize's regulated brokerage infrastructure.

That means investors receive the economic benefits associated with the shares, including applicable dividend payments, voting rights, and other corporate-action entitlements.

Essentially, you're getting the benefits of traditional stock ownership, but through a blockchain-based structure.

The platform is launching on Solana, with transactions settling in USDC, allowing eligible investors to hold their tokenized stocks in approved crypto wallets alongside their other digital assets.

Initially, trading will be available beyond regular U.S. stock-market hours, with plans to eventually expand to 24/7 trading.

Securitize also plans to bring these tokenized equities to upcoming trading venues associated with the New York Stock Exchange and OKXICE, subject to regulatory approvals.

Of course, there are still regulatory requirements, identity checks, and restrictions on who can access these products. This isn't unrestricted stock trading through any crypto wallet.

Traditional financial assets are gradually finding their way onto blockchain infrastructure, and Solana is now one of the networks being used to make that happen.

The question is how much of the stock market could eventually move onto this kind of infrastructure, especially if major exchanges begin adopting it themselves. 🍿

For years, the AI industry has been racing to build larger data centers, purchase more GPUs, and spend hundreds of billions of dollars expanding cloud computing infrastructure.

Microsoft is now pushing another approach: bringing powerful AI directly onto your personal computer.

Yesterday, Microsoft and Nvidia unveiled a new generation of AI-powered Windows computers, including the Surface Laptop Ultra, powered by Nvidia's new RTX Spark chip.

The capabilities are impressive.

The laptop can be configured with up to 128GB of unified memory, deliver as much as 1 petaflop of AI computing performance, and run AI models exceeding 120 billion parameters locally, without needing to send every request to a remote data center.

Prices start at approximately $2,599, with higher-end configurations reaching nearly $5,900.

The hardware is only part of the story.

Microsoft also introduced what it calls "Hybrid Intelligence."

Instead of depending entirely on the cloud, Windows will increasingly decide whether an AI task should run directly on your computer or be processed remotely.

Think about what this could mean..

AI assistants could analyze files, write code, generate content, and perform increasingly complex tasks using your computer's own processing power.

Some of these activities could happen without an internet connection, while sensitive information could remain on your device instead of being transmitted to external servers.

And there's an enormous economic implication behind all of this.

Every request processed locally is potentially one fewer request that needs to consume computing resources in a cloud data center.

For businesses using AI across thousands of employees, shifting suitable workloads to local devices could reduce cloud computing expenses, improve response times, and provide greater control over private information.

Of course, this doesn't mean cloud-based AI is disappearing. The largest and most demanding models will still require enormous amounts of computing infrastructure, and powerful AI-capable laptops remain expensive.

But it does suggest that the next phase of AI development won't be exclusively about building bigger data centers.

It will also be about making the computers we already use powerful enough to handle AI themselves.

That's where the story becomes particularly interesting for investors. Nvidia isn't just positioning itself to supply the massive data centers powering the AI revolution. It's also expanding into the personal computers that could bring that same technology directly to hundreds of millions of users.

"Headline PCE year over year was 3.4% versus the 3.7% expected. Core was also down, from an expected 3.3% to 3.0%. And we’re seeing a transition here. This was over 65% when we looked at it last time. Now it’s 75% that the next FOMC meeting is going to have rates hold where they are, as opposed to getting hiked again. So this has changed significantly, largely in part due to this inflation print."

Abstract, an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain developed by Igloo Inc., the parent company of the popular Pudgy Penguins NFT brand, has announced that it will shut down on December 15, 2026.

On paper, the network looked like it had achieved the kind of adoption most blockchain projects dream of. Despite those impressive numbers, the economics behind the network told a completely different story.

Abstract reportedly generated just $3,900 in transaction fees over a recent 24-hour period, while its parent company had spent tens of millions of dollars supporting the ecosystem.

And Abstract isn't alone.

Blast, another Ethereum Layer-2 network, also announced plans to shut down earlier this month. This highlights one of the biggest problems facing the increasingly crowded Layer-2 ecosystem. Activity doesn't necessarily equal profitability.

Millions of wallets don't automatically translate into millions of active users. Billions in trading volume don't guarantee meaningful revenue. And processing hundreds of millions of transactions means very little financially if the network cannot generate enough income to sustain its operations.

Ethereum's scaling ecosystem has spent years competing to offer faster transactions, cheaper fees, and better user experiences. But cheaper transactions also mean lower revenue per transaction, forcing networks to attract enormous amounts of genuine, sustained activity to make their business models work.

This is where the low should form. It’s just a matter of when it’s actually going to happen. But it’s trying to stack up some demand here, weekly and daily."

How high or low can the S&P 500 go before the end of 2026?

The S&P 500 is currently trading around 7,800, after recently touching a record high at 7,844.

Here’s what could determine which side of that range we actually see.

The bullish case is still centered around earnings. U.S. stocks just reached fresh record highs as investors continue to price in strong corporate profit growth, particularly from AI-related spending and large-cap technology companies. If Q3 earnings continue surprising to the upside and economic growth remains resilient, pushing through 8,000 would only require a move of roughly 3% from current levels.

That helps explain why the 8,000 threshold is currently the market’s highest-conviction upside target.

8,600 or 9,000 is a very different story. Reaching 8,600 would require roughly another 11% rally, while 9,000 would mean around 16% upside from here, all within less than three months.

For that to happen, investors would probably need several things to line up at once: exceptionally strong earnings, continued enthusiasm around AI spending, easing inflation pressure, and a bond market that stops pushing yields higher.

And that last part matters.

The 10-year Treasury yield is still above 5%, oil is back above $100 per barrel, and inflation expectations remain elevated. Those factors can put pressure on stock valuations because higher yields make future corporate earnings less valuable in today’s dollars and give investors a more attractive alternative to equities.

It also explains why the downside outcomes aren’t being ignored.

The bearish case is that, a disappointing earnings season, renewed inflation fears, another surge in Treasury yields, or a more aggressive Fed could all create the kind of correction needed to get there.

We’re entering the final stretch of 2026 with the S&P 500 sitting near record highs while earnings remain strong, yields remain elevated, oil is above $100, and the Fed is still debating further tightening.

"The bond market has been going up steadily since COVID, and risk has exploded to the upside during that same period of time, right? Look at where the S&P and Bitcoin were back in March 2020 versus now, and bonds have gone from sub-0.5 % to 5.2% in that same period of time. So it’s never this one-to-one inverse correlation: bonds up, stocks down, bonds up, risk down."

"I think the biggest, kind of, bear arguments are the following. A monthly bearish SFP, not ideal, right, that would be less than ideal. The fact that equities aren’t pushing up yet, and if we get back below this old high, some sort of larger correction on equities. You’ve got to remember we have Anthropic’s IPO. We have a lot of stuff that is feeling really bubble-like. Maybe we get some sort of black swan pullback."
