Two pheasants on our Baronsdown reserve face off, unaware a shoot is happening on neighbouring land. Game bird shooting may seem like a classic countryside pastime, but the reality is very different.

These beautiful animals are dying while the government drags its feet.

We were promised a consultation on hunting with dogs last year. It never happened. We were told it would come early this year. Still nothing.

Thousands have already signed our joint petition with @USPCA_Official but we need many more.

Wildlife continues to be chased and killed by dogs, simply because the law has failed to protect them.

We took our huntsman to Westminster to deliver a clear message: the government must clean up the Hunting Act. Hunting has been illegal for 20 years, but it did not stop. Instead, it hid behind a smokescreen of loopholes and so-called ‘trail’ hunting.

A former gamekeeper has been convicted and fined for killing a protected common buzzard in North Yorkshire.

This case is a reminder that birds of prey are legally protected and that wildlife crime will not be tolerated.

We have left some messages for MPs to see on their way into Parliament. Our message is clear. Hunting has been illegal for 20 years, but the hunt did not stop. It hid behind loopholes and so-called ‘trail’ hunting, allowing animals to keep suffering.

With the majority of the UK public opposed to blood sports, taking a clear stand against cruelty matters more than ever.

By signing the #BusinessWithoutBloodSports pledge, companies commit to not supporting or enabling blood sports in any way.

The latest episode of the Leaguecast with Dr Denise Taylor, wildlife conservationist and hunting law campaigner explores illegal hunting, the reality of ‘trail’ hunting, police transparency, and how local people can act to protect wildlife locally.

The Hunting Act didn’t end hunting with dogs.

Illegal hunting is still widespread, and weak enforcement means hunts rarely face consequences. Hunts follow a scent where wildlife live, and if a fox is killed, they just claim it was an accident.
