Joining a16z was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Thank you Erin and the whole AD team for believing in me and teaching me so much. Being an engineering fellow is easily one of the coolest jobs you can have. Highly recommend reaching out!
Erin Price-Wright@espricewright · Sep 9Congrats Jacob! We are so excited for you and what you’re building!
However there is now a Jacob-shaped hole on our team. If your name is Jacob and you are an engineer who is excited about building American Dynamism, please reach out.
(you can also reach out if your name is not Jacob)

Jacob Zietek@JacobZietek · Sep 9I left a16z to start Ixian Robotics!
I’m very grateful for the people I got to learn from at a16z, and excited to be building again. The last couple of months have felt like knocking down dominoes I’ve spent years putting up.
Wrote a bit about the last year and what I want to build next: zietek.dev/blogs/starting…

Trevor Heinemann@TrevorHeinemann · Aug 29Hey all, looking for housing in SF!
Recently moved (back) to the bay and am building hardware at an early stealth robotics startup. I’d love to live with other robotics nerds or fun/cracked ppl. Need parking, <2k preferable, <2.5 in a pinch
Cheers

"If you drop a monstrosity in the middle of a community, a windowless box that ruins property values and hums through the night, you will be protested at every step, and you will deserve it. What you build is a direct reflection of what you think of the people you build it among. A box designed strictly by margins tells a town you hold it in contempt. But build something beautiful, a structure worthy of the leap in civilization these machines make possible, and you will be hailed as Carnegie is hailed, for hundreds of years.
The great industrialists understood the factory, the rail station, the library were not just infrastructure. They were a declaration, made in brick and stone, that the future was worth believing in while also honoring the past. Do not sacrifice beauty for margin."
