Having considered all three candidates vying for LSK President position. The choice is clear to me. It is Charles Kanjama. I have worked with Charles for a number of years at the Nairobi Legal Awards Trust. I have witnessed the passion, the energy, the commitment and the focus. Charles delivers what he promises and does not give up no matter how difficult a situation. When Charles sets out to do something, he follows through to the end. He is present and gives it his full attention. I have no doubt whatsoever that Charles is the LSK President that we need now. I’m voting Charles Kanjama. All the best @ckanjama.

*DEBRA AJWANG FOR LSK VICE PRESIDENT*

It has been some time since I last participated in public commentary on LSK elections, having remained silent in the previous two election cycles. I had all intentions of remaining silent again for the upcoming elections but recent developments have compelled me to speak and share my considered views, mindful that I do so as one member with a single vote.

Having reviewed the various campaign messages, listened to the candidates, and engaged with the perspectives of fellow members, I am firmly persuaded that Ms. Debra Ajwang is the most suitable candidate for the position of Vice President of the Law Society of Kenya. She is an honest, forthright, and principled individual who does not shy away from expressing her views, even on difficult or contentious issues. Unlike those who may tailor their messaging merely to secure votes, Debra consistently prioritizes truth and integrity, understanding that these values endure beyond electoral campaigns.

While others chase votes with easy promises, Debra speaks plainly about what the Bar truly needs: strong governance, real accountability and protection of members’ funds.

Debra is also intellectually rigorous. She approaches issues with diligence, undertakes research, and engages thoughtfully with facts before forming or expressing her opinions. Her maturity and composure, coupled with her intellectual depth, make her well suited to represent the Society in high-level engagements, where substance and credibility are paramount.

The Law Society of Kenya stands at a moment where serious, mature, and intelligent leadership is required. For these reasons, I will be voting for Debra Ajwang as Vice President and encourage members to exercise their vote wisely.
