Today more than ever I’m extremely hopeful.

TradFi is coming for LONG. Not just institutions, but actual retail investors and individuals. And that would be the real 0-to-1 moment for the space and LONG.

The purpose of LONG is to build unique distribution that can elevate crypto assets into “real” assets. Assets that aren’t just a beta of ETH, BTC, or SOL, with their fate decided solely by crypto cycles.

We’re doing this by compounding more tokenized stock value into paired markets through liquidity, LP mechs, and unique releases, while expanding distribution to bring in net-new marginal holders.

1. We have a great release ready to go. Will drop more details tmr. This should provide a net new way for pairs on LONG to expand into RWA activity. I’d like to push even harder on shipping speed.

2. Distribution! This is about alignment with stakeholders + retail holders at public companies, actually onboarding them into our markets and retaining them. the upcoming app release is only meant for this angle (and not just having a nicer UI or narrative)

your only job is to hold with conviction great pairs that have deep stock liq and unique positioning/alignment that can be attractive.

This is the part of the cycle I’m positioning for.

Memes capture attention, but infrastructure captures flows.

That’s why my conviction in EDEL remains strong.

If tokenized equities, on-chain lending and programmable markets are part of crypto’s next phase, the protocols powering that activity should matter more than tokens simply chasing attention.

The future won’t only be built on narratives.

It’ll be built on rails.

I still think onchain pairings will have another massive run sooner than most expect.

$STONK is generating 3x the revenue of $PONS despite $PONS trading at twice its market cap.

Meanwhile, plenty of protocols valued between $400M and $1B are barely generating $50K in revenue.

What makes me confident here is the combination of strong revenue, consistent buybacks, and a working product positioned to benefit from the next wave of onchain activity.

Still extremely bullish.

After my foray into lands afar (Solana), and my first exposure in years to trench warfare (DeFi summer was quite similar to now), some thoughts.

I thought we could bring back hold culture bc, ideally, I think everyone prefers to WAGMI vs. whatever the fuck this is now, and I saw tribes forming around bags.

I was wrong ab this. Holding will continue to exist in isolated pockets, but the attention span of zoomers (and millennials too these days, if we’re being honest) is at record lows.

This is expert mode.

Everyone has superintelligence at their disposal, especially the bad guys.

Everything is bundled, especially the good shit.

Everything is fast… Like unbelievably fast. The tech, the cycles, the rotations, the coin creations… Fast.

This generation of traders is vicious. Many lack any technical charting ability and trade on vibes alone… And in trading, the vibes are shifting constantly.

Something that’s hot one week may have ZERO attention the next.

FOMO is way more powerful than people realize… He who controls the flows controls the universe.

Social trading at this level of transparency is novel and has many consequences in terms of reflexivity.

I think main characters rotate quickly bc they are under immense pressure not to sell whatever has kingmade them, and cycles haven’t magically stopped playing out.

I still think holding comes back to some extent as the cycle matures, and once again, some things are definitely worth holding. Most things aren’t.

It’s the perfect environment to take your initials out after 2–3x and buy another lottery ticket or put cash to the side for TBD.

You have to be extremely aggressive with profit-taking bc standing liquidity is thinner than ever, so the only way to be efficient is to take advantage of volume events.

And you have to be extremely diversified bc most bags are prob farms that just go to zero.

Reflecting on my recent performance, I think it’s better than some (I didn’t miss the Solana rotation), but I’ve definitely left a lot on the table by not being as mechanical ab this as I should have been.

It’s funny how one can do this his entire adult life and the game never gets old. It’s the same game I’ve been playing for years, just with thousands of badass expansion packs.

This is the most dangerous and hardest trading environment I’ve ever witnessed, but it’s also one of the most stimulating.

Abstract is winding down.

Starting today, all of @IglooInc's focus will go towards taking Pudgy Penguins, Pudgy NFTs, and $PENGU to the next level.

When we acquired Frame in the summer of 2024, the vision was to build the blockchain for consumer crypto. Pudgy Penguins had shown us what it meant to reach the masses, and we believed we could bring that same approach to building a chain.

Abstract achieved a lot in a short period of time; we built the Portal and AGW, onboarded major global brands, amassed over 300 million transactions, and grew a vibrant onchain ecosystem.

The journey became stifled by the lack of a DeFi ecosystem, insufficient liquidity, minimal institutional cross-over, and prohibitively high costs that impeded growth in winning areas.

Unknown to most, Igloo, Inc. had been funding Abstract over the last 18 months.

After losing tens of millions of dollars over two years, building consumer products, assembling an all-star team, onboarding some of the biggest brands in the world, and building a community of millions, we still had not found product-market fit.

In combination with the market's reduced appetite for what we had built and not being able to find a scalable path forward, we could no longer justify taking from the Pudgy Penguins business.

Igloo, Inc. has always been a community-first company. Even after losing 8 figures, we could have launched a token or pursued an ICO.

Ultimately we decided against this. A token only works if there is something driving demand to it, and launching a token that we don’t have conviction in would have been a disservice to our community.

The entire team at Abstract has worked tirelessly with a tremendous amount of passion to make the consumer crypto vision come true. I cannot fault a single one of them for this outcome.

To the Abstract community, I want to thank all of you for sticking by our side on this long journey and for continuing to champion us. You supported us through all of the ups and downs, and I wish the result could have been different.

There will be many that will find satisfaction in seeing this shut down, and that is fine. I take a great amount of pride in having the ambition to venture into the chain business, notoriously one of the most difficult to make work, and the only regret I have is not being able to celebrate a win alongside the Abstract community.

As we wind down Abstract, our full focus shifts to making Pudgy Penguins into the global & cultural phenomenon I know it can become.
