In 1920 people from Ilford were telling Jews to go back to Palestine.

In 2026 people from Ilford gather in London to tell Jews to get out of Palestine.

Different century - same message: "You do not belong."

Antisemitism is what it is.

Grief. The only theft of heritage is claiming the Dead Sea Scrolls for “Palestine”…

Electronic Intifada@intifada · Oct 8

After the military occupation of East Jerusalem began in 1967, Israel removed the Dead Sea Scrolls from the territory. The Israel Antiquities Authority has those stolen artifacts in its possession. By involving the authority in a new research project on the Dead Sea Scrolls, the EU is enabling the theft of Palestine's heritage.

Israel exists so the question of whether Jews should be free and secure is self-evident, at least in one country on earth.

Imagine posting this revisionist history then complaining about “historical illiteracy”😂😂🤣

Kieran Andrieu@kieran_andrieu · 22h

No, the UN didn’t create modern Israel in 1948.

Resolution 181 in ‘47 gave Zionist movement 56% of Palestine w/out Palestinian input.

Zionist militias then violently seized 78% over the following year.

The historical illiteracy of very confident media pundits is dumbfounding.

This was literally the reasoning of the UN commission that promulgated the genocide hoax. Read the text below. It’s that transparent.

TLDR: "Israel knew that engaging a war would cause civilians to die; therefore, by not surrendering, Israel is guilty of genocide."

Someone asked me on DM what roof tapping is. This is what it is.

Israel fires a small warning shot onto the roof of a building Hamas is using. No warhead meant to bring it down. Just the knock. Get out. Then the calls, the texts, and the leaflets.

Then, if the fighters are still in there, the real strike.

This clip is Al Jazeera, live from Gaza, a correspondent in a press vest, and the knock lands on the tower behind her while she is on air. She ducks. The building is still standing. That’s the whole point of the tap.

No other army does this. Not the Americans. Not the British. Not the Russians. Not the Arabs who spent the day firing the rockets. Hamas puts the launch sites and the commanders in the apartments, and Israel still knocks on the roof before it hits them.

Then the same footage gets played as proof of a war crime. Watch it again. The warning is the explosion.

Navi Pillay, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, was UN High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2008 to 2014.
Below are emails sent to China during her tenure, giving advance info on who would speak out about China's human rights abuses.
Pillay declined to attend the award to Liu Xiaobo.

He means that Hamas executed the civilian hostages when the IDF got too close and this is the IDF’s fault because they should have just let Mehdi’s friends keep their people.

Mehdi Hasan@mehdirhasan · Oct 8

A majority of the hostage deaths can be ‘traced back to Israeli military actions’!

Good job Netanyahu! Good job IDF defenders in the West!

Great breakdown by @AnatPeled1. I’d add that the main military goal of these forward operating bases is to ensure Hamas terrorists are not able to rush the border October 7 style.
This has become the IDF modus operandi on all of Israels hostile borders and the lack of strategic vision for the region would dictate that they remain.
One thing I would correct in this report. IMO it’s not only Netanyahu’s base and his coalition partners that support the operational deployment it’s across the Israeli political spectrum.

Israel’s policy is that anyone who wants to leave for medical treatment can leave, as long as there’s a country willing to take them.

Ihab Hassan@IhabHassane · 19h

Many countries have taken in Palestinians from Gaza for medical treatment, and tens of thousands are now across the Arab world.

Israel determines how many people are allowed to leave Gaza. It controls access through Gaza’s border crossings and prevents Palestinians from leaving for medical treatment.

Allowing only 40 Palestinians to leave Gaza each day is a policy that leaves those urgently needing treatment to die.

Cruelty is the policy.

And let me add one more thing I truly appreciate about @EylonALevy's elections podcast: he sits down with representatives of the parties themselves and lets them explain the party's position. Rather than telling his audience what the parties want, his podcast therefore shows it.

I don't know of many other resources that do that -- certainly not in English. So, again, very well done.

Let me give Eylon some words of support here, because he genuinely deserves them.

The interviews are not too aggressive -- you're doing what any interviewer should do: press your guests to give detailed policy proposals, and try to bring them back on topic whenever they veer off into sloganeering, whataboutism, or past alleged accomplishments. Yeah, how dare you?

Some people thought you were being too harsh with Yishai Fleischer -- but subsequent interviews showed you were just as exacting with other guests.

Honestly, excellent elections podcast -- on par with, if not exceeding, Election Overdose (which was a personal favorite).

Eylon Levy@EylonALevy · Oct 9

I’m getting a lot of pushback from people saying the Israel Electioncast interviews are too aggressive. So I’ll say two things:

1) In every interview I give them an open question to lay out each manifesto chapter, then I challenge them. That’s how political scrutiny should work. Nobody else is even asking candidates what their policies are, much less asking for details about how it will work.

2) I start with the assumption that everyone is bullshitting me. Everyone. They’re all selling me half-truths and easy fixes. And if they want the nation to put the country’s fate in their hands, they need good answers. Sometimes they have answers and the conversation moves on constructively, and we can disagree on mechanisms or even underlying values. And sometimes political candidates are genuinely full of shit.

Wait and watch the whole series. You’ll see I’m equally tough on Gilad Kariv and Simcha Rotman on judicial reform, for example. I don’t plan on giving anyone an easy ride.
