FM @larsloekke: “Danmark er dybt uenig i USA’s beslutning om at indføre sanktioner mod ICC, som vil få enorme konsekvenser for domstolens arbejde og for efterforskningen af de mest alvorlige internationale forbrydelser. DK bekræfter sin urokkelige støtte til @IntlCrimCourt.”

FM @larsloekke: “Denmark strongly disagrees with US decision to impose sanctions on the ICC, which will have immense consequences for the work of the court and the investigation of the most serious international crimes. DK reaffirms its unwavering support to the @IntlCrimCourt.”

Today, State Secretary for Foreign Policy Lotte Machon met with Belarusian Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Ales Bialiatski. Denmark stands firm on need for international pressure on the Belarusian regime to release all political prisoners and end repression against civil society.

Denmark and @MediaFreedomC mark 20 years since the assassination of Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya. We call on the Russian authorities to bring those responsible for her murder to justice, stop persecution of journalists and uphold human rights.

FM @larsloekke “Denmark is deeply concerned by developments in North #Ethiopia. We call for de-escalation, humanitarian access and dialogue. We call on neighbouring countries to refrain from further escalation. The Pretoria Agreement and AU-led mediation remain the path to peace”

The conflict escalation in Yemen is worsening an already dire humanitarian situation, and civilians are now fleeing to East Africa. Denmark provides DKK 25.7 mil. through UNHCR and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund to address the refugee crisis in the region.

Konflikteskaleringen i Yemen forværrer en allerede alarmerende humanitær situation og civile flygter nu til Østafrika. Danmark bidrager med 25,7 mil. kr. via UNHCR og FN’s Centrale Nødhjælps Fond til håndtering af flygtningekrisen i nærområdet.

FM @larsloekke: "More than 18,500 patients in Gaza urgently need medical treatment. Denmark is providing DKK 20 million for medical evacuations to Jordan & Egypt. We continue to call on Israel to reopen the medical corridor from Gaza to the West Bank, incl. East Jerusalem."
