Today CST hosted a fundraising Business Lunch with guest speaker, @DanJarvisMBE , at a central London venue.

Thank you to everyone who joined and kindly donated. And a special thank you to our dedicated CST security team for keeping us safe.

Today's Home Office figures show that antisemitic hate crime remains at an unacceptably high level. Anti-Jewish hate crimes recorded by the police increased by 10% over the past year, but the most striking finding is the relative impact that this has compared to the small size of the Jewish community.

As seen previously, Jewish people continue to experience by far the highest police-recorded rate per head of religious hate crime of any faith group. This shows the disproportionate scale of anti-Jewish hatred and its impact on Jewish life in Britain.

These figures also show that antisemitic hate crime has remained elevated since the 7 October terrorist attack and the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict, with further spikes following the terrorist attack at Heaton Park Synagogue in October 2025 and the start of the war with Iran in February 2026.

Events in the Middle East, and attacks against Jewish communities here in Britain, can fuel further antisemitism and have a direct impact on the safety and security of British Jews, and there is an urgent need to reduce the amount of incitement connected to conflict overseas.

Much more needs to be done across society to tackle this problem. We will continue to work closely with government, police and community partners to tackle antisemitism and help ensure that Jewish people can live safely.

Today marks three years since 7 October 2023.

We remember the 1,200 people who were brutally murdered, the thousands injured and
the 250 people who were kidnapped and held hostage in the terrorist attack in Israel.

A huge thank you to our amazing CST security and admin teams who protected our community over the High Holy Days, and who continue to do so. Thank you to all the shul members who join us in that duty too. Together we're stronger.

It is striking that people and organisations from across the spectrum of Jewish community politics, who may disagree strongly with each other over Israeli policies, are united in their utter rejection of this shameful motion.

Coming after an unprecedented year of anti-Jewish terrorism and violence, this motion pours fuel on the fire with its hateful and racist distortion of Zionism. While slandering the many Jews who hold Israel's existence to be an important part of their Jewish identity, the Green Party has nothing meaningful to say about anti-Jewish terrorism and the fight against antisemitism. Instead, they have adopted a policy that risks further stigmatising Jewish people and worsening a climate that has already left British Jews facing violence, intimidation and harassment.

The charging of two men in connection with an alleged plot targeting the Manchester Jewish community will be deeply concerning to Jews across the UK. These charges come exactly a year after the appalling terrorist attack at Heaton Park Synagogue, and are a reminder of the ongoing terrorist threats facing British Jews.

One year after the terror attack at Heaton Park Synagogue, CST is deeply moved to see Andrew Franks honoured with this notable recognition for his extraordinary courage on that dreadful day.

Our thoughts remain with all those affected by the horrific attack at Heaton Park Synagogue a year ago today.

CST mourns the terrible loss of Melvin Cravitz z"l and Adrian Daulby z"l. May their memories forever be a blessing.

CST has seen the news that the arrests of two men in Manchester on Sunday, shortly before the start of Yom Kippur, was allegedly related to what police believe was a plot to attack the Manchester Jewish community.
This is utterly chilling, coming so close to the anniversary of the terrorist attack at Heaton Park Synagogue last year, and is another reminder of the serious terrorist threat facing Jewish communities in this current time.
We have been in close communication with police in Manchester and around the country throughout Yom Kippur, as we are continuously as part of our security operation over the High Holy Days.
We want to thank the police and other agencies for their work protecting the Jewish community, and British society as a whole, from terrorism. We urge the Jewish community to remain calm and alert, and to report any suspicious activity to police on 999 and then to CST.

Our community depends on security.

The terrorist threat against British Jews has never been so severe. CST protects Jewish schools, synagogues and communal institutions through security expertise, trained volunteers and advanced technology.

CST welcomes the news that Hamza Iqbal, Rehan Khan, Judex Atshatshi, and Saif Ali have all pleaded guilty to their roles in the arson attack on @Hatzola ambulances earlier this year.

This was an appalling antisemitic act against a volunteer ambulance service providing emergency medical assistance to people of all backgrounds across north London, simply because those ambulances belonged to a Jewish charity.

It caused immense shock and distress across the Jewish community and we thank the @metpoliceuk and the @CPSUK for ensuring that the perpetrators have been held to account.

CST will continue to work closely with the police, Hatzola and other community partners to protect the Jewish community from further antisemitic attacks.
