biggest containers update since launch just dropped. and it's all about agents sandboxes

new scheduling policy, new runtime, 648ms median startup, runtime image selection, filesystem snapshots (!!), sandbox sdk 1.0

there's a lot in this one 1/ 🧵

Containers needed a new runtime. why?

Containers was designed around deploying an app: pick the image and size at deploy time, roll it out

that doesn't work for agent sandboxes. they're created mid-task, sized for the task, and might live 5 min or get restored 3 days later 2/
