Been looking into @SaturdayBank and here’s what they’re working on:
🟦 phone can work as the payment terminal
🟦 customers can pay with the cards they already use
🟦 merchants can settle in stablecoins like USDC
🟦 the crypto side stays mostly in the background
that last part is what makes sense to me.
people don’t need to learn wallets, bridges or how onchain payments work just to buy something.
just tap → pay → done.
if Saturday can make this work for real merchants at scale, this could be a pretty interesting use case for stablecoins.
