In 2018, Reynolds was hosted on another overseas trip by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He previously served as a vice-chair of Labour Friends of Israel.

Before entering Parliament, Reynolds worked as an assistant to James Purnell, now Andy Burnham’s chief of staff.

James Purnell resigned as head of lobbying firm Flint Global to join Team Burnham.

Last June, Purnell hosted Jonathan Reynolds and fourteen arms industry executives at an initially undeclared dinner.

The firms present went on to secure over £3 billion in government contracts.
