This week, we’re celebrating World Space Week with a series of Google Doodles spotlighting stunning views of the universe, honoring the technology and human ingenuity that make space exploration possible. 🚀🌌Happy Space Week! #GoogleDoodle

Here’s how to get the lowest possible price on your holiday flights, according to five years of aggregated Google Flights data. 👇

✈️ Connecting flights can also be a big money saver. Nonstop tickets are 20% more expensive on average.

✈️ When you travel is key for saving: Departing on a Monday and returning on a Tuesday or Wednesday saves about 14% over weekend flights (and up to 20% domestically versus Sunday).

✈️ Wednesday beat Tuesday as the absolute cheapest day to book a flight, but the difference is negligible — buying a ticket on a Wednesday only saves you about 1.4% compared to Sunday, the most expensive day.

Today @TheLancet published our AMIE study with @BIDMC_Medicine, the first prospective study of patient-facing conversational diagnostics in a real clinic.

AMIE is a research system people can chat with before doctors appointments. Testing AMIE outside the lab with real urgent care patients showed how technology can help gather medical histories safely. Clinicians reported that the summaries helped them prepare for visits in 75% of cases and influenced their approach to care in more than half. AMIE’s differential diagnoses also matched the doctors’ final diagnoses 90% of the time giving clinicians more time to focus on patient care.

It’s Google’s first-ever paper in The Lancet’s main journal!

Our medical research system, AMIE, is the first patient-facing conversational diagnostic tool of its kind to be studied prospectively in a real-world clinical setting.

In a study, published today in @TheLancet, we found that when patients chatted with AMIE before an in-person appointment, the interaction built their confidence and helped them organize their thoughts. And physicians who reviewed the information from the patient conversation got more time back to focus on collaborative care and shared decision-making instead of digging through data.

Announced today at #GeminiAtWork from @GoogleCloud:

✨ Gemini is becoming your universal agent for work. It answers your questions, handles your knowledge work, creates images and media, and writes and runs code, all grounded in your business context. No need for step-by-step instructions — just delegate an outcome and return to finished work.
✨ Gemini works inline in @GoogleWorkspace — directly inside Gmail, Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Chat, and Calendar, with the same memory, skills, and controls it has everywhere else.
✨ New data and analytics skills let technical teams and everyday business users ask questions in natural language and get actionable insights in minutes.
✨ Specialized industry-specific skills, tools and connectors are rolling out for financial services and legal teams.
✨ Built-in security and governance give IT teams peace of mind with enterprise-grade data protection, privacy controls, and central oversight.

Great to be with 700+ @googlecloud customers at the historic NASA Hangar One for Gemini at Work!

Today, we introduced the new Gemini agent, a single, universal agent for work that has all of your business context and answers your questions, handles your knowledge work, creates your images and media, and writes and runs code - all from a single prompt box. It is connected to your personal workflows, your systems of record, and your enterprise controls.

It’s built around a few core architectural principles:

Unified Agent: Gemini can answer questions, do knowledge work and generate code from a single prompt box.

Access: Gemini is web-based and can be accessed from any device and integrated into third-party applications. It can also operate without a dedicated user interface.

Persistent Execution: It runs in the cloud, which means it maintains a single set of memories, context and one personalization graph no matter where you access it.

Multi-Agent Orchestration: Gemini can create sub-agents to tackle multi-step tasks and can also act as a coworker agent with a defined role and its own dedicated identity

Context: Gemini knows your tools, data, and work history and learns how you work the more you use it.
Model Choice Flexibility: It orchestrates across multiple models to deliver optimal quality and lower your costs.

Around two thirds of people around the world lack access to diagnostic health tools, like ultrasounds.

We’re working to change that.

Here’s how ⬇️

What are people craving around the world? Our first-ever @GoogleMaps Fan-Favorite Dining List taps into Maps reviews, ratings, and searches for directions to analyze the biggest dining trends and popular restaurants across 10 global food hot spots: Atlanta, Chicago, London, Melbourne, Montréal, New York, San Francisco, Santiago, Seattle, and Tokyo.

Project Suncatcher is our moonshot exploring whether we can one day host machine learning infrastructure in space 🚀

To do so, we need to know whether our AI hardware can operate in orbit. Can our TPUs handle the physical stress of spaceflight and the radiation and thermal extremes of space? These are the questions Google researchers have been exploring for the past few years.

Last week, we launched our first test satellite carrying four TPUs into orbit — putting us one step closer to getting answers.

Built alongside the blind and low-vision community, Guided Vision in Gemini Live offers conversational, real-time visual assistance.

Now you can share your camera to receive dynamic audio descriptions and natural verbal reframing cues to explore your environment. 🧵

Forecasting where a disease outbreak might spread usually requires weeks of stitching together fragmented satellite imagery, census tables, and local health records.

Now, new research shows how Google Earth AI can help communities address public health crises more quickly and proactively.

By combining insights beyond simple statistics — like behavioral trends, geospatial AI models, and more — public health teams can better understand complex public health issues, bridge reporting gaps, and shift emergency response from reactive management to proactive prevention.

We’re releasing EmbeddingGemma 2, our first natively multimodal open model engineered for on-device embeddings.

Built on the Gemma 4 architecture and released under an Apache 2.0 license, it goes beyond text to unify images, video, audio, and code in a single embedding space.
